ALERT: 2011 Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Immunization Requirement for Students
Whooping cough (pertussis) has been widespread in California in 2010, and it can be fatal if untreated. Beginning July 1, 2011 students entering grades 7-12 will be required to receive and document a booster shot against pertussis (also known as "Tdap").
