Founded in 1908 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and located in the heart of Santa Monica, Saint Anne School has been dedicated to providing a quality Catholic education to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 for over 100 years. The education and faith communities of Saint Anne School, in co-operation with our students’ parents, recognize our purpose and responsibility to share collaboratively in our efforts to guide and educate our students. We value the importance of the inter-relationship of the school, home and church, and recognize parents as the primary educators of the children we serve.
Saint Anne School provides a comprehensive Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade curriculum as stipulated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and applicable California State Standards in the following subjects: Mathematics, English, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies, Science, Music, Art, Religion, and Physical Education. We offer recognized enrichment programs in science, music, technology and art history.
Largely multi-cultural and ethnically diverse, our student body shares a unique richness. In an atmosphere of love and respect, students are taught dignity and self-respect and to value the diversity of all peoples and cultures. With Christ as our model and in accordance with the tenets of the Catholic Church, we affirm the uniqueness of each child by addressing individual learning and developmental needs fostering every child’s academic success and spiritual well being. We strive to provide an environment and a curriculum rich in spirituality, which nurtures openness, gentleness and respect towards all humanity.
